77% of students reported that they could better plan for their future
91% of students can see themselves as a college student because of their Promise Scholars field trip to a community college
54% of 12th graders completed a FAFSA or DREAM Act application at a Cash for College Workshop
84% of 8th graders felt more knowledgeable about what it takes to get into college
96% of 6th graders reported a better understanding of what it takes to have a successful career
Voices From Our Community
“Thank you for the opportunity to explore your beautiful campus and the knoweledge and benefits of college! Without this tour, I wouldn’t know how many opportunities I have in my future career!” 8th Grader from Vina Danks Middle School
How it Works:
In today’s economy, a post-secondary education is in greater demand than ever before…
We believe that ALL students, regardless of their socio-economic background, deserve an opportunity to acquire the education needed for future self-sufficiency.
Launch Point and Promise Scholars work in partnership with local schools to develop a college-going and career-ready culture that inspires and equips students with the information and resources they need to finish high school with a viable plan for a living-wage career. By educating students and parents about options for their future, and empowering them to develop plans for their pathway to college/career, we aim to ensure that all students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, can achieve their educational dreams.
