Toyota-Company of the Month

Toyota named Inland Empire United Way's May 2012 Company of the Month!

Toyota has been a supporter of United Way for many years and is consistently one of our top 20 highest giving companies in the Inland Empire. This year they outdid themselves with an increase of $15,000 through their workplace giving campaign! Through IEUW's extensive network of nonprofits, in-kind donations and volunteers, these dollars will be leveraged to reach even more low income families and their children through the many programs supported by Inland Empire United Way. As a further sign of their support and belief in the work done by IEUW, we are pleased to share that Mr. Wilson Johnson, Operations Manager for the Toyota North American Parts Center located in Ontario, recently joined the IEUW Board of Directors.

And it is not only the corporate level of Toyota that is involved with United Way. Recently, IEUW had the opportunity to speak to the employees and new owners at John Elway Crown Toyota about how they can impact lives in our community by teaming up with United Way. Following the presentations, Crown Toyota provided a generous gift with a corporate match totaling $5,000 to help IEUW feed hungry children in the Inland Empire. In addition, Crown Toyota ran a special two-week promotion in the Los Angeles Times featuring Kids Pack, IEUW's weekend food program feeding very low income children on weekends when free lunch at school is not available.

We are thrilled with the new and continued support from Toyota as they truly show us what it means to LIVE UNITED!
