OHL - Company of the Month

Inland Empire United Way proudly selects OHL as our Company of the Month for December 2011. This rapidly growing Tennessee-based global supply chain management company occupies over 1 million square feet of warehouse space throughout the Inland Empire with locations in Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, and Ontario.

OHL is a committed partner in United Way’s efforts throughout the community. Well-versed in the art of "needs analysis", OHL provides logistics solutions for other large corporations as a third-party alternative. However, big-business is not the only beneficiary of their expertise. In the Inland Empire, OHL recognizes the growing needs in their surrounding community and is determined to be a part of the solution. This past year, OHL strengthened its partnership with the Inland Empire United Way by contributing resources through workplace-giving, food-drives, and corporate sponsorships. Most notably extending a gift of $5,000 towards the Challenge for Children initiative launched in 2011. Focused on helping disadvantaged kids in the Inland Empire, the Challenge for Children aims to help underprivileged children to succeed in school and reach future self-sufficiency. Setting the pace for corporate sponsorships, OHL’s contribution represents the first 5 out of 100 building blocks needed to reach our $100,000 goal.

Taking on the challenge, Irene V. Fogarty, Regional VP, reached out to local OHL vendors and fellow community members to act in support of the United Way. HR manager, Joe Daigneault, increased his involvement by joining the HandsOn Inland Empire Advisory Council. And for the annual Workplace Giving Campaign in November, managers set an ambitious goal of 100% participation from the leadership team!

OHL has clearly stepped up as a new “rising-star” on Inland Empire United Way’s list of corporate partners. Boosting their overall contributions by more than 500% since 2009, their resolve on the current economic crisis is clear. Their staff is passionate about what they do and compassionate towards people in their community. Thank you, OHL, for all that you do for United Way and our entire community!
