Inland Empire United Way is pleased to announce jcpenney as our April 2012 Company of the Month!

For over 80 years, jcpenney associates have supported the United Way through the company's annual employee giving campaign. Over the past 20 years, more than $275 million has been invested into communities across the country through their annual United Way Campaigns.

Locally, multiple jcpenney locations have contributed over $44,000 to Inland Empire United Way to support low-income children and families. Each of our local jcpenney partners have been very creative over the past year in how they support United Way. For instance, the jcpenney Distribution Center raised $3,000 over the course of one year for IEUW by making available to their associates a variety of snacks and drinks in exchange for a small donation. Additionally, the jcpenney Furniture Outlet donates gently used furniture to needy families, using the IEUW as a means of communication to the various nonprofits in the area who in turn, help the furniture find a needed home. IEUW also greatly appreciates the jcpenney volunteers who have participated in various projects over the past year.
