Bag Childhood Hunger
Pack a lunch, then donate the money that would have been spent eating out to help fight childhood hunger.
Would you give up your lunch for a hungry child? Bag Childhood Hunger
is an opportunity to do just that!
The concept is simple: skip or pack a lunch, then donate the money you would have spent eating out to help fight childhood hunger and food insecurity through Inland Empire United Way’s Kids Pack program, which feeds 2,000 local children each weekend. This is a great way for your business, church, sports or community group to help us feed more kids this year!
How You Can Help
1 in 4 children in this region live in poverty and are at risk of going to bed hungry. More than half of the children in public schools within the Inland Empire United Way’s service area are enrolled in the federal free and reduced meal program and many children rely on these meals as their major source of nutrition during the week. We need your help to Bag Childhood Hunger in our local community!
Host a Bag Childhood Hunger Campaign
It’s easy! IEUW staff will provide you with all necessary materials and support you every step of the way. As a team captain, you select the dates to hold your event, promote the event to your group, distribute the Bag Hunger lunch bags, and then collect them when your event is completed. Your business or group will be recognized by IEUW through social media, in our program centers, and in media releases. Let the community know that your organization is a partner in helping to Bag Childhood Hunger!
