HandsOn Inland Empire is becoming ieVolunteers!
We are excited to transition from the HandsOn Network to our own ieVolunteers initiative, which will continue to connect caring people in our community with a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities throughout Inland Empire United Way’s (IEUW) service region!
For the past 10 years, IEUW’s HandsOn Inland Empire program has mobilized thousands of volunteers to help nonprofit agencies improve the lives of children, individuals, and families within our community. However, with the addition of so many free volunteer matching websites now available (like Volunteer Match, Just Serve, etc.), we have decided to transition away from the HandsOn Network and refocus our efforts and resources in the area of volunteerism to better serve the community.
Launching on January 1, 2017, IEUW’s new volunteer program, ieVolunteers, will focus on building volunteer infrastructure and recruiting and placing volunteers into opportunities within our 40+ Community Impact Partners (organizations funded by IEUW), our AmeriCorps and RSVP partners sites, and our many IEUW operated program opportunities.
This change will allow us to continue serving as a volunteer hub for the region, while better utilizing our resources and focusing volunteer efforts specifically toward meeting IEUW’s goals in the areas of education, health, and financial stability.
